I suffered from terrible tinnitus for 8 years after a constant exposure to loud noise. Tinnitus is hearing a sound that is not generated by any source out of the body and it is not a disease it’s a symptom of underlying problem. My tinnitus hurt so bad that I was usually in bed for about 8 hours and soreness killers (even prescription strength) don't stop the loudness (except to knock me out) even if I take triple the dosage. I can’t believe this. My job involves direct supervision with employees and operating industrial noisy machines. ReplyDeleteThe hardest part in being a DJ for long years is dealing with terrible tinnitus. To me, that is what a job hazard means. Difficult as it may seem, the love for a DJ life is immerse for me. I battled tinnitus for 5 years with several antidepressants medications and therapy.
